A more experimental photography. Wet Sleddale. The shutter speed was 1/2000 in order to capture a still frame of the water storming through the dam. It gives a unique solid feel to the liquid.
Reaching the south of the Isle of Arran in Kildonan, you will be able to meet those guys. In fact the whole place is filled up with nature: basking sharks, Huge jelly fish, swans and all sorts of birds. Just walking by the shore was a full experience. Seals are no longer scared by people and you can get fairly close to them. They tend to just bath in the sun in the most funny poses.
Same location, Kildonan. I tried to give the swan the stereotypical meaning of purity by increasing the exposure.
A group photo of seals. As I was getting closer, they started showing a little concern by lifting their heads towards my camera. It gave a unique occasion of capturing everyone.
Coming back from Appleby, we just noticed a race preparing near Orton. We stopped by to have a closer look at it. Here a mini in action. The winner of the race as it happened.
Those are some very funny poses. Nearly off balance on the tip of the emeging rock. You can sometimes see them scratching or twitching. Here the palms are crossed, a sign of confort and deep dreaming :)
Probaby an Artist installation in Derwent waters. Water was clashing in between the two carved bolders.
